*Pre-order* "The Duchess of Gloucester" an Ensemble Kit for a Georgian Wooden
This 1760’s George II style silk sacque gown was created for our exclusive Georgian Wooden artist dolls “Belinda Noble” and “Dido Washington.” Comprised of varied stripe silk in warm shades of cream and golden fawn with rows of delicate embroidery, the gown features a sacque back, squared court style skirt, and fitted elbow length sleeves with rows of flounces trimmed in pink beaded organza trim and lined in frothy lace. The gown is trimmed in ornate box style pleats and beaded organza ribbon. The petticoat matches the squared court shape of the gown, is comprised of striped fawn silk in front and fine cotton in the back, and has a drawstring waist and panels of beaded organza ribbon and ruffles down the front. The stomacher is sewn of multiple layers of silk, creating a firm texture, and is overlaid with beaded pink silk organza and tied with cotton tape.
For your sewing pleasure, we have created a complete kit which includes everything needed to create the ensemble: a paper pattern, full instructions with helpful tips and historic details, and expertly curated materials.
Pre-order price: $225.00
