Speaking of artistry, this gorgeous ensemble, created for our exclusive Georgian Wooden dolls, “Dido Washington” and “Belinda Noble” is comprised of rich, sage green silk taffeta with a fawn stripe and indienne style embroidery and embellished throughout with fawn braid featuring scalloped sequins in a soft champagne hue. The fitted bodice features a delicately seamed back, shawl collar and full skirt. The bell shaped sleeves feature an embellished, turned back cuff and a full length undersleeve in fine cream cotton. The petticoat matches the full skirt of the gown and is sewn with rows of fawn silk and sequin trim. The stomacher is built with multiple layers of fabric creating a firm texture, and is overlaid with richly embroidered fabric. A bonnet of fine muslin trimmed in lace and delicate sequins completes the period accurate look.
