The ideal French child of the 1880’s, Amélie features the captivating, expressive, Bru face beloved, and coveted, by advanced doll collectors. Fully realized here by master doll artisan Carl Armstrong, Amélie features fine facial molding and painting, full cheeks with delicate blushing, and a closed mouth tinted in a rose pink hue. Her vivid blue paperweight eyes are highlighted by finely painted lashes, mauve shadow, and arched, delicately executed brows. She wears a fine mohair wig in your choice of either an old fashioned shade of blonde, or a classic chestnut brown, both styled in sweet curls.
Her Chevrot-style body features a beautifully modeled bisque shoulderplate attached to a stuffed leather torso, complete with scalloped strips layered at the chest. Do not miss the special feature an antique style paper label! Leather covered upper arms and bisque lower arms with leather covered rivets enable flexible movement at the elbows. Her bisque lower arms feature sculptural quality molding with blushing and shading and tinted nail beds. Her composition lower legs are semi-stationary and offer the same range of movement afforded the original antique Chevrot bodies.
