Here is a gorgeous French blue silk taffeta, with a very fine hand and a lovely drape. This fabric calls out for inclusion in a French fashion costume, whether as trim or the base of the dress. It would be very easy to create the voluminous folds at the back of an 1870’s costume and create a phenomenal train.
