Inspired by classic bébé costumes of the 1880’s, this ensemble has our little Angélique wrapped up like a present, or Cadeau in French. Perfect for a stunning holiday look or a year round Robe de Visite (visiting dress), the below the knee length, drop-waist dress is comprised of rich, burgandy silk taffeta, and features a ruched cream silk plastron and a gorgeous, oversized sash. Lavished with guimpe trim, satin and jacquard ribbons and frothy lace this costume is sure to make Angélique smile. A wired bonnet in silk velvet with a ruched brim of silk taffeta and silk chiffon, completes the presentation. The patterns and materials are available for your sewing pleasure in a complete kit which includes a paper pattern with complete instructions and all of the materials needed to create the ensemble.
