The talented doll costumer Sheryl Williams has utilized an exclusive to Carmel Doll Shop floral border print cotton voile, to create a marvelous Huret dress with bretelle ruffles. Designed to fit the 14-1/2 Huret on the resin body, your own Hurets will adore this confection, which is based upon a treasured antique original garment found in the Grovian Doll Museum’s collection, circa 1865.

The cotton voile used to create the dress can now be found in our Cottons selection ( direct link to fabric ). You will need two yards of voile to make the dress shown here, due to the usage of the border area upon the ruffles. However, there will be enough of the floral field remaining to make a second costume with those original two yards. Sheryl has created “Floral Elegance,” a coordinating pattern available here (separately) to utilize the extra fabric - genius!

The doll, shoes and accessories shown here are not included with the pattern, but there are a limited number of pre-made floral coronets (like the doll is wearing) available in the Accessories section here. The gold lockets are also available there, as well as a complete set of undergarments that will help give your Huret just the right look while modeling this exquisite dress.
