Who doesn’t long for a day by the sea? Blue skies, sunshine and the gentle caress of a breeze imbued with the salt of the ocean. To tide us over until that day, we are pleased to offer a new pattern entitled “Par la Mer” (By The Sea.) Based on an 1866 La Poupée Modèle pattern and adapted here for the modern doll sewist, and appropriate for artist-made Huret and Rohmer dolls, the pattern features a delightfully full skirt, wide square collar and short sleeves. The completed dress is shown here in a crisp blue and white striped cotton fabric and is embellished with brilliant red braid and nautical style brass buttons.

3/4 Yard dress fabric (Sample shown in Cotton-097, available in our boutique.)

8 Buttons (Sample shown with Brass Anchor Buttons for "Par la Mer” available in our boutique.)

2.5 Yards Scarlet Silk Ribbon for hat (Sample shown with trim-070 available in our boutique.)

4.7 Yards Red Trim (Sample shown with Trim-033, available in our boutique.)

1/4 Yard Muslin for bodice lining.

1/3 Yard twill for waistband.

3-4 doll sized hooks.

Small piece of tarlatan to line collar and sleeves.

Small piece of white, satin finish cotton for collar.

Untrimmed Hat (Hat-068 Chapeau "Par la Mer" available in our boutique.)

Coordinating cotton or silk thread, additional millinery trim as desired.
